Designed specifically for non-amplified systems, this harness is compatible with GM vehicles featuring connectors on the HMI module, typically located behind the glove box or above the kick panel. The exception is Colorado/Canyon vehicles, which have connectors behind the screen. It's crucial to ensure that your vehicle has the Aqua and Tan set of connectors, as they cannot be substituted for the black and gray set; they are not interchangeable. To avoid any installation delays, please verify the connector colors before placing your order.
Need to know information before installation and ordering:
- You need to be sure and check the actual, physical connectors in the vehicle. Be sure they are the aqua and tan set and not the black and gray connectors. This is a FINAL SALE item, it can not be exchanged.
- Verify there is no Bose amp or factory amp in the vehicle. The vehicle will still have these connectors if there is an amp however they will NOT have any audio wiring. This harness will not work in the amplified system.
- Some 2020 and newer vehicles will require resistors when installing a 4+ channel speaker amp to retain the chimes.
- The harness does not offer remote turn-on. This is extended from an LOC/Processor or an ART can be utilized. Please note: the ART option can be added to your order but it will NOT be wired to the harness.
