What's the big deal anyway?

Why is it important that the wire you use in your audio be twisted when dealing with "audio signal"? Its simple, twisted wire allows the cable to create an electromagnetic field that keeps out other "voltage noise" from being amplified. Improper twisted silicon or cheap 9 wire that is not twisted can create noise in the harness.

Shock-Wire© keeps the guess and noise out of your installation. Our inspiration comes for 8 years as a fiber and radio technician for the State. Just like high speed Ethernet cable or 4k & 8K HDMI, the better the protection the better the signal. Don't let the 12v echo chamber misguide you, do research and look at product specifications NOT brand names.

RCA's whom?

When comparing RCA cables to twisted wire, the advantages of twisted wire become apparent. Twisted wire excels in minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and signal degradation, resulting in cleaner and more accurate audio transmission. Unlike RCA cables, twisted wire offers improved noise reduction, better signal balance, and efficient power delivery. Experience enhanced audio quality and reliable performance by choosing twisted wire for your car audio setup.

Less heat + less resistance = better signal

Less heat in wire is highly beneficial to the conduction of electricity for several reasons. Firstly, excessive heat can lead to power loss and energy wastage during electrical transmission. By minimizing heat generation, more electrical energy can be effectively utilized, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

Additionally, excessive heat can cause wire insulation to degrade over time, leading to potential electrical issues and safety hazards. By keeping the wire temperature lower, the insulation integrity is better preserved, ensuring safer and more reliable operation of your electrical system.

When it comes to direct current (DC), it primarily travels on the outside surface of the copper conductor. This is due to a phenomenon called the "skin effect." The skin effect refers to the tendency of current to concentrate on the outermost region of a conductor, reducing its penetration into the conductor's core. As a result, most of the current flows on the surface of the wire, rather than through the entire cross-section.

This knowledge is crucial when selecting wire gauges or sizes. By choosing a larger wire gauge, you can increase the surface area available for current flow, reducing resistance and minimizing power loss. This is especially important for high-power applications, as it helps maintain efficient electrical conduction and prevents overheating.

In summary, minimizing heat in wire enhances electrical conduction by reducing power loss, preserving insulation integrity, and optimizing the flow of current, especially in direct current (DC) applications. Choosing the right wire gauge and ensuring efficient heat dissipation contribute to a more reliable and efficient electrical system overall.
